Gig Harbor Art Festival

This coming weekend is the Gig Harbor Art Festival, sponsored by Peninsula Art League.  It's been absolutely perfect summer weather here, so we can expect sun and fun instead of the rain and clouds we've had on this weekend the last couple of times.  This is more like what we're used to, so I'm hoping everyone will be out - flip flops, shorts, sundresses and ready for a good time.

Lots of stuff happening this weekend all around, like Bite of Seattle, Sequim's Lavender Festival, a million other activities.  But folks from Gig Harbor love to head over to this show for at least a quick peek of what's going on.  I don't get down here often, or even south of Seattle much, so I'm looking forward to catching up with everybody.

"125 artists from throughout the Northwest will be showing and selling their work at this year's festival. We'll also have a variety of food vendors, live music and lots of art-making activities for children thanks to the nice people at Arcadia Montesorri School and Curious By Nature Preschool. And if you'd like to try your hand at some sidewalk art, wander down to the waterfront and 'Chalk the Harbor'."
