This coming weekend is the Choochokam Arts Festival in Langley on Whidbey Island.
I love going to the island, and this is one of the cutest towns ever. The weather should be perfect too, so how can you go wrong?
Dates: July 6 and 7
Hours: Sat 10am-6:30pm, Sun 10am-5pm.
They say the show is bigger than ever this year - which isn't quite true. It's the biggest one since the new folks took over running it, but a few years back the other organizers were adding booths in the other direction of First St too, and it all began to get a little too overdone. It's just about perfect now, back to how it was years ago when it was such a lovely show. (List of vendors)
My booth location is F-3 which is basically right in front of the pizza place - just a couple booths over from the boy & dog park on First Street.
Great spot, great town, lots of fun. And a really nice summer day trip. More info and a map on their website. Plus the entertainment line-up - which was awesome last year.
This is the first of 5 weekends in a row of shows for me, which I'm a little nervous about, but very much looking forward to kicking it off in Langley. Next up: West Seattle, Gig Harbor, Richland - Allied Arts, and finally the big kahuna in Anacortes. Hope I can catch you at one of them!
