In the summer newsletter I sent in May, there wasn't much room to really get into the whats and whys of my new summer soap selections. It's a bit of a departure from what I've done in the past, which was fun, whimsical, summer-inspired scents in a basic really good soap recipe.
These latest soaps are formulated with food ingredients and special nutrient oils, taking what I had and making it even better. They are all 100% natural with lots of organic additions and created with a variety of skin types in mind.
None of us is getting any younger! So it just made sense to start making soaps that will nourish and protect me and you from the harsh, cruel world out there. And making use of all the newest information in skin science too.
I've already covered the other four summer soaps - Carrot Ginger, Pure Pumpkin, Cucumber Yogurt, and Tea Tree & Blue Clay. All of them can be found under the category "ingredient insider" in the bar to the right. This is the final post about the latest soaps, and it's the Rosemary Orange Tomato soap, which is really a re-formulation of a soap that I've had on the main menu for years.
This
is a replacement of the old Rosemary Orange soap - just amped up a couple
of notches with tomato powder and fig powder for better color plus a
whole lot of great skin benefits. The herbal rosemary orange scent is
the same as it's always been, but the bright orange hue comes from the tomato powder which
is packed with lycopene, a terrific antioxidant which nourishes skin
cells and helps protect from the assault of environmental pollutants.
Fig
powder contains Vitamins A, B1, B2 and K. It is high in natural alpha
hydroxy acid (AHA) which is thought to help brighten and refresh the
skin. It also protects skin with it's high levels of phytochemicals
that are thought to help fight cancer and filter UV rays.
Bottom
line - it's the same Rosemary Orange soap you have loved for years, but
with a brighter color and a bushel full of super healthy vitamins,
antioxidants and natural phytochemicals.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, palm, organic shea butter, tomato powder, fig powder, essential oils.
This is a 100% natural soap!
I would love to hear what you think about this new version - so if you've tried it and love it (or hate it) or have questions about it, let me know in the comments below!
